Mhizha is a connection platform only. Service providers listed on the platform are independent professionals and do not work for us. Please read these terms carefully before using our service.
1. Our Role as a Platform
Mhizha (operated by Digital Guild) is a WhatsApp-based platform that connects customers with independent local service providers in Zimbabwe. We are an intermediary only.
This means:
- Service providers are independent contractors, not our employees
- We do not supervise, control, or guarantee how services are performed
- We facilitate connections but do not provide the services ourselves
- Payment for services is between you and the service provider
2. Agreement to Terms
By using Mhizha's WhatsApp service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.
3. Phone Number and Data Sharing Consent
Explicit Consent Required
Before any contact information is shared between customers and service providers, you will be asked to provide explicit consent. Your phone number will only be shared after you confirm by replying YES.
When you use our service:
- You will be asked to confirm before your phone number is shared with a service provider
- Service providers will be asked to confirm before their number is shared with you
- You can decline at any time - your number will not be shared without your explicit YES
- We log all consent responses as proof of your agreement
4. Location Data Usage
We use location data to match you with nearby service providers:
- Initial matching: We use your general area (suburb/town) to find providers
- After provider accepts: You may optionally share your precise location to help them reach you faster
- Precise location sharing is always optional and requires your explicit consent
- Location data is not stored permanently and is only used for the active service request
5. User Responsibilities
5.1 For Customers
- Provide accurate service requirements and location information
- Communicate professionally with service providers
- Pay agreed amounts directly to service providers for completed work
- Verify provider identity before allowing entry to your premises
- Provide honest ratings and feedback
5.2 For Service Providers
- Complete identity verification with valid documents
- Provide accurate information about your skills and availability
- Honor quoted prices and complete accepted jobs professionally
- Maintain appropriate insurance and certifications for your trade
- Comply with all applicable Zimbabwe laws and regulations
6. Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for:
- The quality, safety, or legality of services provided
- Damages, losses, injuries, or theft arising from services
- Delays or failure to complete work
- Disputes between customers and service providers
- The conduct, identity verification accuracy, or performance of any user
Users engage service providers at their own discretion and risk.
7. Verification and Trust
While we take reasonable steps to improve trust on the platform through identity verification, we do not guarantee the conduct, identity, or performance of any user.
Users are encouraged to:
- Verify provider credentials independently before engaging
- Check ratings and reviews from other users
- Request proof of qualifications for specialized work
- Trust your instincts - decline service if something feels wrong
8. Payments
- Service providers set their own pricing and send quotes directly to customers
- Customers must confirm quotes before providers proceed
- Payment for services is made directly between customer and provider
- Platform subscription fees (for providers) are separate from service payments
- We do not handle service payments and cannot offer refunds for work
9. Dispute Resolution
Disputes between users are to be resolved between those parties directly. Mhizha may assist in mediation at our discretion but is not obligated to resolve disputes.
For serious matters (theft, assault, fraud), users should:
- Contact Zimbabwe Republic Police
- Report to relevant consumer protection authorities
- Notify us at takudzwa.mombe@honeycomb.co.zw so we can investigate the account
10. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not:
- Provide false information or impersonate others
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Use the platform for illegal activities
- Circumvent verification or subscription requirements
- Share contact details outside the platform's consent process
- Spam or send unsolicited messages
11. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these terms, illegal activity, fraudulent behavior, or abuse of the platform.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via WhatsApp. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, including the Cyber and Data Protection Act, 2021. Any disputes shall be resolved in Zimbabwean courts.
14. Indemnity
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mhizha, its operators, partners, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or legal actions arising from their use of the system.
